Our Impact

The hours between 3 and 6 PM are the peak hours for juvenile crime and experimentation with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and sex (Fight Crime, Invest in Kids, 2003). With KidSpace being between the peak hours, our program helps lower crime rate (juvenile behavior), degrease experimentation in drugs and alcohol truancy rate.

  • 74% of school-age students’ mothers work
  • 35% of Utah’s students are not in an out of school time program, but would participate if one was available
  • 28% of children (unsupervised) are responsible for taking care of themselves after school

Lights On

Lights On is an annual event held in October that helps raise awareness for the need of afterschool programs. We partner with Coral Cliffs Elementary City Program and A Child’s World. This event is open to the public. Join us in raising awareness this year!

Funding Grants

KidSpace is a grant funded organization. We work in correspondance with the Utah Office of Child Care, Utah Agterschool Network, and UnitedWay; an organization focused on creating community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the cornerstones for a good quality of life: education, financial stability and health. We meet all requirements for supplying a safe, enjoyable childcare program. We use UAN’s Quality tool and Mid/Annual reports to stay in correspondance with regulations and offer the best program we can.
