College of Humanities and Social Sciences

Welcome

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is dedicated to educating, enlightening, and engaging students. The word “human” in our title represents our human-centered educational focus, which is why our school is nicknamed The People School. Disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences will teach you immediately applicable skills as well as help you better understand both historical and contemporary societies. If you are interested in people, one of our programs is probably right for you. Our departments and programs offer the following majors, minors, and certificates.

Mission Statement

Students in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHaSS) broaden their views of the world through exposure to new ideas, cultures, and perspectives.
